For me, psychodynamic psychotherapy is the “nuts and bolts” of therapy. It focuses on the unconscious and past experiences and can influence your current behaviour. I will encourage you to talk about your childhood relationship with your parents or other significant people, in order to reveal the unconscious content or your psyche and this will help to alleviate painful symptoms. This approach can be useful for looking at repeating patterns in relationships and making links between current behaviours and past events.
